Our Story

As a psychologist and coach, I have spent the last 9 years helping people reach their full potential and thrive. During that time, however, I have come to realise that there is one key component that is often overlooked when it comes to overall wellbeing and that is nutrition.

As research in the field of gut microbiome continues to grow, it becomes increasingly clear that our diet plays a crucial role in not only our physical health, but also our psychological health. The gut microbiome, which is the collection of microorganisms that live in our digestive tract, has been found to play a direct role in our mental health and behavior.

For example, studies have shown that changes in the gut microbiome caused by stress or antibiotic use can lead to an increase in anxiety-like behaviors.  Additionally, some research has suggested that people with different gut microbiomes may have different levels of certain neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, which can affect mood and behavior.

At The Healthery, we understand the importance of nutrition and gut health in overall wellbeing, and we are dedicated to helping people build healthier habits to promote better health. We believe that by nourishing our bodies and gut microbiome, we can live to our full potential and thrive.

Our focus is on finding ways to improve gut health and psychological wellbeing at the same time. We believe that these two aspects are closely linked and that by addressing one, we can positively impact the other.

A bit about me

A bit about me, I am a psychologist. As far back as I can remember, I have had an interest in psychology, believing that by gaining an understanding of it, I would help people to live their best lives and to thrive.

Over the years of my working with people, trying to help them live better lives, I developed a passion for working with women. I also came to realise just how incredibly powerful women’s support is for one another.

My passion in helping support women to flourish grew into an obsession, and expanded from psychology to include nourishment in all its forms. I also started looking broader, not only at the mind, but to the body, mind and spirit.

From this exploratory  journey, Her Healthery, and my passion, was born. I hope it adds as much value to your life as it has mine, and spurs you on to live your best life.
